Appeals procedure

You should know that once performed, all assessments are further checked and approved by Provincial Master Assessors. This immediately follows the formal assessment of your establishment by a TGCSA Assessor, which means that your establishment is actually assessed twice over. At their discretion, a Provincial Master Assessor can request that an assessment is reviewed before it is submitted to the Awards Committee.

Once graded, if you disagree with the Star Grading that has been awarded to you, you have the right to appeal by lodging an official dispute. This needs to be in the form of a letter addressed to the Awards Committee, who will then review your assessment in full.

There is however a fee that is be payable to the TGCSA on requesting a review of the Provincial Master Assessor’s decision, which is equivalent to your specific grading fee.
